Verified PurchaseBy Natalie Ross(Australia)March 19, 2026 Vietnam North & CentralThis 8-day tour was the perfect way to experience the incredible contrasts of Northern and Central Vietnam without feeling rushed. We started in Hanoi, where the chaotic charm of the Old Quarter and the peaceful beauty of the Temple of Literature gave us a fantastic introduction to Vietnamese culture. The overnight cruise in Halong Bay was nothing short of spectacular — kayaking through hidden lagoons, exploring a floating fishing village, and watching the sunset paint the limestone karsts in shades of gold and pink. From there, we took a night train to Sapa, and trekking through the breathtaking terraced rice fields of Muong Hoa Valley was an absolute highlight. Staying overnight in a local homestay with a H'Mong family was a humbling and heartwarming experience. Then we flew down to Da Nang, and the contrast couldn't have been more striking — from misty mountains to sunny beaches! Hoi An stole our hearts with its lantern-lit streets, incredible food (the Cao Lau noodles are unforgettable), and the chance to have custom clothing made in just 24 hours. A day trip to Hue's Imperial Citadel and a peaceful dragon boat ride on the Perfume River added a wonderful historical layer to the trip. Everything was well-organized — the internal flights, the private transfers, and the knowledgeable guides who brought each destination to life. If you want to see Vietnam's iconic highlights north and central in just over a week, this tour is a fantastic choice. I came home with a thousand photos and even more wonderful memories.Date of Experience: March 10, 2026
