Early morning transfer to Ba Dinh Square where you will witness the Vietnamese Flag Raising Ceremony (summer, 6:00am; winter, 6:30am). After the ceremony, this is a favourite gathering place for daily morning exercises. If weather permits, take part in the morning activities such as “Tai Chi” and badminton, or walk along and chat with the locals. Enjoy moments of tranquillity while taking in one of the most beautiful tree-lined avenues in the city and passing by many famous landmarks of Ha Noi. Visit Quang An Flower Market before take a walk and view the Red River from the Long Bien Bridge, a historical relic that miraculously survived the war. You will gain a good feel for the Ha Noi way of life when weaving through many narrow streets of the Old Quarter. Get a glimpse into daily life, including shop openings, mobile flower and fruit vendors working, children going to school, locals having coffee and breakfast on sidewalks and people on their vehicles heading to work. Verified PurchaseBy Megan Sullivan(United States (US))April 10, 2026 Hanoi Early BirdIf you're an early riser who loves authentic food and wants to see Hanoi wake up, this 3-hour morning tour is absolutely perfect. Our guide met us at our hotel at 6:30 AM, and we immediately dove into the magical chaos of the Old Quarter's morning market — vendors setting up their stalls, locals haggling over fresh herbs and exotic fruits, and the irresistible aroma of street food filling every alley. We started with a steaming bowl of pho bo (beef noodle soup) at a tiny sidewalk spot that had been there for over 40 years — hands down the best pho I've ever tasted. Then came bun cha with grilled pork, fresh herbs, and a dipping sauce that was pure magic. We also tried banh cuon (steamed rice rolls stuffed with minced pork and wood ear mushrooms) while watching a grandmother prepare them fresh on a steaming hot skillet. Along the way, our guide shared fascinating stories about Hanoi's culinary traditions, pointed out hidden temples we would have walked right past, and even taught us how to order coffee like a local — "nóng" for hot, "đá" for iced. By 9:30 AM, we were completely full, happy, and ready to start our day. If you want to taste the real Hanoi before the crowds arrive, don't miss this tour. Worth waking up early for!Date of Experience: April 01, 2026

Verified PurchaseBy David Kim(South Korea)April 9, 2026 Early morning in VietnamThere's something magical about watching a city wake up. This early morning tour started at 6:00 AM at Ba Dinh Square, where I stood among silent locals as the Vietnamese flag rose slowly against the pale sky – no music, no speeches, just quiet pride. Then something unexpected happened: I joined a group of elderly Hanoians doing Tai Chi under ancient trees, my stiff movements earning me gentle smiles and a thumbs-up. We wandered to Quang An Flower Market, where the air smelled of jasmine and dawn, then walked across the legendary Long Bien Bridge as the Red River glowed gold beneath us. But the real heart of this tour was the Old Quarter at sunrise – narrow streets coming alive with mobile fruit vendors, sidewalk coffee stalls steaming, children in white uniforms biking to school, and the constant hum of motorbikes warming up for another day. My guide encouraged me to stop for a proper Hanoi breakfast: a steaming bowl of pho on a tiny plastic stool while watching the world blur past. No museums, no tickets, no rushed itineraries – just raw, beautiful, everyday Hanoi. If you want to see Vietnam's capital without the crowds and with a full dose of soul, set your alarm early. It's worth every lost minute of sleepDate of Experience: April 02, 2026
