Itinerary
On arrival (arrival by morning flight from Ha Noi), have a short visit to Dong Hoi town with the collapsed Tam Toa Church and the Quang Binh Gate then transfer to the World Heritage recognized area of Phong Nha. Check in your hotel.

Start your day by travelling on Victory Road 20 (Formerly the Ho Chi Minh Trail). The highlights of the day will be continued with a visit to Paradise Cave (Hang Thien Duong) which is the longest cave in South East Asia (31km) with astonishing stalactites and stalagmites. Leave the Paradise Cave for the afternoon Dark Cave visit. Drive to visit the old runway Khe Gat which was built secretly during the war before returning to the hotel.

In the morning, leave Phong Nha for Hue with an excursion to the former DMZ sites such as the Vinh Moc Tunnels, the Hien Luong Bridge, the Quang Tri Citadel and the La Vang Church. Arrive in Hue in the late afternoon.

Take a morning boat cruise on the peaceful Perfume River including a visit to the Thien Mu Pagoda. Drive to the Imperial Citadel (which was built in accordance to the principles of geomancy) housing a series of palaces, ornate halls, libraries, residences and colleges. In the afternoon, visit the elaborate mausoleums of Emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh.

Enjoy a morning drive to Da Nang via the Hai Van Pass. Stop at Lang Co Beach for relaxation and for an opportunity to wet your feet in the East Sea. Visit the Cham Museum in Da Nang. In the afternoon, proceed to the remarkable ruins of My Son located in a remote jungle valley. My Son was formerly the religious centre of the Cham Kingdom and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site with more than 20 well-preserved monuments. Arrive in Hoi An in the late afternoon.

Set off on a walking tour to explore this World Heritage Site. Highlights include an ancient merchant house, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the vibrant riverside market. In the afternoon, visit one of Hoi An’s famous lantern workshops and learn how make a lantern for yourself. End the day by taking a boat trip on the Thu Bon River.
