Opened in early 2024, the Vietnam Central Heritage Connection takes approximately three hours to travel between Hue and Da Nang, showcasing some of the region’s most spectacular landscapes. Passengers can admire panoramic views of Tam Giang-Cau Hai Lagoon, Lang Co Bay and the majestic Hai Van Pass. Beyond the scenery, the train offers quiet carriages for a relaxing journey, alongside community carriages featuring live performances of traditional Vietnamese music and dance.

For travellers seeking a more indulgent experience, The Vietage by Anantara connects Da Nang with Quy Nhon and Nha Trang, winding through rice fields, traditional villages and striking coastal mountain landscapes. The six-hour journey between Da Nang and Quy Nhon includes a three-course meal inspired by Vietnamese and French cuisines, while the route from Quy Nhon to Nha Trang features an afternoon tea service with local caviar, Vietnamese cheeses and premium teas. Combining refined onboard hospitality with picturesque views, The Vietage offers an elegant way to explore some of Central Vietnam’s most appealing destinations.

The recognition underscores the diversity of Vietnam’s railway experiences, from affordable heritage journeys that celebrate local culture and landscapes to premium services designed around comfort and culinary discovery. Together, the two routes offer international visitors new ways to experience the country beyond its well-known coastal attractions, connecting historic cities, local communities and scenic destinations through the enduring appeal of rail travel.
