(TITC) – Digital travel platform Agoda has released its Repeat Visitor Ranking for the first half of 2026, revealing that Vietnam has successfully maintained its position among Asia’s top three destinations for returning travellers. Meanwhile, Da Nang strengthened Vietnam’s showing by climbing two places from last year to rank sixth among the Asian cities with the highest return-visitor rates. The ranking is based on Agoda booking data from the first half of 2026.
Some destinations have a way of calling travelers back for more. The opportunity to discover new attractions, revisit favorite places, or simply enjoy familiar surroundings encourages travelers to return time and again. Agoda’s data shows that some travelers revisited their preferred destinations multiple times during the first half of the year.
Romantic Da Nang & Hoi An Package Tour
Within Vietnam, the 5 destinations with the highest return-visitor rates in the first half of 2026 are Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Hanoi, and Phu Quoc Island. Vietnam’s two major cities also strengthened their positions, with Hanoi climbing two places and Ho Chi Minh City moving up one. Sapa recorded another notable gain, rising three places from last year. Its growing appeal is also reflected in Agoda’s activities data, which named Sun World Fansipan Legend the most-booked activity on Agoda in Vietnam during the first six months of 2026.
South Vietnam and Phu Quoc Island
Da Nang rose by two places, making its way into the top six cities in Asia with the highest return-visitor rates. This rise highlights the city’s enduring appeal, from its stunning beaches and excellent value to its proximity to UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Hoi An. The city is also home to Ba Na Hills, a popular hilltop destination known for the iconic Golden Bridge, panoramic mountain views, and a wide range of leisure and entertainment experiences. Together, these attractions give travelers new reasons to rediscover Da Nang with every visit.
According to Mr. Vu Ngoc Lam, Country Director for Agoda Vietnam, the country’s strong showing reflects its rich variety of experiences, ranging from the energy of major hubs like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to the coastal charm of Da Nang and the mountain landscapes of Sa Pa.
