CNN has effectively accompanied Vietnam in promoting its image, especially in introducing the culture, people, cuisine, and unique experiences of various localities.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quy Phuong, Head of the International Relations and Tourism Promotion Department (Vietnam National Tourism Administration), the Vietnam National Tourism Administration and CNN International have implemented several effective cooperation activities in promoting Vietnamese tourism to the world . He expressed his hope that CNN would continue to share information and data on international tourism trends, thereby supporting the development of marketing strategies that meet market needs.

Furthermore, with CNN’s strong international media presence in many key markets, the two sides can continue to collaborate on joint promotional campaigns and develop specialized media products. Referring to the potential for tourism development linked to cinema, Mr. Nguyen Quy Phuong suggested that CNN support connecting and introducing Vietnam’s potential to international film producers, including Hollywood, thereby contributing to promoting the image of Vietnamese tourism through film.

Phil Nelson, Executive Vice President of CNN International Commercial, affirmed that Vietnam currently possesses many tourism products with great potential, such as cultural tourism, culinary tourism, golf tourism, luxury resorts, and destinations associated with cinema. Therefore, there is a need for ways to convey the potential, beauty, and compelling stories of Vietnam to the right target customer groups, especially the high-spending segment.

Regarding content production, he stated that CNN not only has strengths in media but also possesses a department specializing in producing high-quality, cinematic visual content, which can effectively support the promotion of Vietnam’s landscapes and destinations.

He also highly appreciated the strategy of promoting Vietnamese cuisine in collaboration with Michelin Guide, and noted that Vietnam is globally renowned for its signature dishes such as pho and banh mi, and there are many other culinary values ​​that need to be told through fresher stories to reach the high-end customer segment.

This series brings together policymakers, business leaders, and international experts to discuss major topics such as tourism, artificial intelligence (AI), culture, and the arts.

In the future, CNN will explore organizing similar activities in Vietnam or collaborating to bring international speakers, content, and standards to events hosted by Vietnam.

Phil Nelson also emphasized the potential for cooperation in promoting culture and festivals. In particular, Vietnam’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage, recognized by UNESCO, could be promoted more effectively on CNN’s platforms.
